Asa + Oliver-3 Months

An entire quarter of a year old! I said it before and I’ll say it again-time flies. It makes my heart ache with joy that my boys are growing up. I better start planning their first birthday party!

Month 3, almost through the fourth trimester. For me, things started getting easier postpartum-wise. It was also the last month of the “newborn stage,” things should be getting easier, right? (Like it ever gets easier). My babies began moving from little, cute blobs to little humans who do more than just lay and sleep! This month was a lot easier. The boys finally got into a solidified routine. They conquered falling asleep 100% on their own for all naps and nighttime feeds. Their nap times became predictable finally and we have some things figured out sleep-wise (just in time for them to change again!). The most important thing is that our habits are healthy and solidified. They haven’t slept through the night at this point, but that’s okay!

This month they celebrated their first Valentine’s Day and it was adorable. The best Valentine’s ever, honestly!

The boys have also outgrown all their newborn clothes. It’s such a joy to see them grow, I’m so thankful for my healthy babies! My heart is also sad to put away these little first outfits.

Oliver:

-has rolled from tummy to back a couple of times!

-smiles a lot!

-coos constantly (I think he will be a talker).

-is officially out of the swaddle

-loves mamas milk still!

-discovered his hands and started bringing them to his mouth

Asa:

-has rolled from tummy to back a couple of times!

-finally smiled for us, he took a bit longer! (My suspicion is that it is partially due to being in the NICU for 18 days-everyone he saw had a mask on! Even mom and dad).

-coos some, slobbers a TON!

-is officially out of the swaddle

-loves mama’s milk!

-has also discovered that he can put his hands to his mouth!

I can’t believe how fast they are growing up. I need to get better at writing down all the things the boys do because my mommy brain is terrible at remembering. Next month will be easier because I started writing things down, haha!
