Asa + Oli: Month 7
Over half a year with my babies and I seriously couldn’t love them more. The stage that they have been in the past 2 months is SO FUN. They are giggly, mobile, babbling, and learning so much. I love having little conversations with them, making them laugh, and watching their expressions as they discover the world! Each of their personalities are flourishing and every day I get glimpses of them as 2 year olds, 4 year olds, 10 year olds. It makes me love them even more, it makes me excited to see them grow and at the same time it makes me want to hold tight to them and freeze time! My precious boys.
While sleep still hasn't leveled out for us (yeah...7 months without more than 3 hours of sleep at a time, I'm a little tired) things have gotten easier! The boys eat solid foods, they still breastfeed the same amount but man these boys have feedings down to like 5-10 minutes! They are good about going out and about and *fairly* easy to take shopping with me (minus loading and unloading two car seats, groceries, and a giant double stroller). I think the biggest change is that I feel good. I feel confident in my mothering, I don't second guess my decisions (as much, mom guilt is ever present), I have systems down for pretty much anything we want to do so I feel less trapped. My postpartum anxiety has also gotten better, I've found coping mechanisms and things to do to ensure my brain and heart feel settled. Babies are always hard, but when I feel good it makes it easier.
(also from their milestone picture, month 7 is when it got really hard to take their photo! They just kept rolling over or grabbing the blanket to chew on, haha!)
So, what have the boys done this month? It's not been as big of a month for milestones, but they're learning every day!
Oliver:
-rolls, EVERYWHERE
-has started getting on his hands and knees and rocking
-loves when mommy reads and sings
