ANNOUNCEMENT! THE UNFOLDING CO.

Hey there hi there hi there!

Today I wanted to share a special project with you. I am announcing my ministry Instagram page called The Unfolding Co.! This is something the Lord laid on my heart and I pray that He blesses it and blesses you through it.

You’re probably like, what does this even mean?! So here is a bit of an explanation:

Last week I shared about my month long break from social media. It was something I felt God wanted me to do. In that time I realized how selfish Instagram really is. It was all about ME, what I could provide, how I could entertain, MY tips and ideas. It was very self-centered and that was not and is not glorifying to God. I love social media and creating, but the only way I felt I could do that without making it all about me was making a page that pointed to Christ, that encouraged people, that shared His truth, and glorified God. So I created The Unfolding Co., and I pray earnestly that it is something that glorifies God and not myself.

When this idea came to mind I struggled with what to call it. I knew I wanted it to be focused on God’s Word, and I knew I wanted it to be a light in the darkness. I turned to the concordance in the back of my Bible and searched the scriptures under light and word, and I found this treasure that is balm to my heart even now. It is Psalm 119:130:

“The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.”

This scripture paints such a beautiful picture in my mind.

Me, a simple human, sitting before the Lord at a long dining table. His words flowing slowly to my listening ears. Word by word, I understand more and more. Word by word the light shines brighter and brighter. Before I know it the distance between me and the Lord has closed, and instead of sitting at the far end of the long dining table across from Him, I am now sitting right next to him as he continues to speak to my heart, as He hands me understanding, as He illuminates my darkness with His light.

This image I have described has become more and more the desire of my heart this last year. More and more I want to know and understand Him, and more and more I want YOU to know and understand Him. I want us all feasting at the table of His truth and goodness and love and light. I pray that The Unfolding Co. is an invitation to you to sit at His table as He unfolds His word to us.

What exactly is the Unfolding Co.?

Well, it is more than just an Instagram page. It is a ministry. I want to help connect you to scripture so that You can begin to see His light and understand who He is. It is a ministry with the goal of encouraging you in God’s truth. It is a place you can go and find someone who will pray for you. The Unfolding Co. is a place for women to come on Instagram and be encouraged and not brought low by the thief of comparison. Whether you are single or married, a mother, a teacher, a Marine, a nurse.

On the Unfolding Co. Instagram page you can find weekly devotional, weekly memory verses, a weekly prayer request box, a weekly worship + prayer prompt, and a monthly live devotional time. I also have a few ideas of Bible studies and tools to help you in your walk with the Lord.
