Thankfulness Thursday (On Wednesday)
HI FRIENDS! Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! I am super duper duper excited for this holiday and the beginning of the holiday season. This is truly my favorite time of year and from here on out is CHRISTMAS, so you can say I'm PUMPED. I've been fighting the urge to listen to Christmas music, and I might just give in a little early. I definitely want to enjoy my Thanksgiving so I am doing Thankfulness Thursday today, and I will be posting my Thanksgiving recap on Friday. I urge you to be intentional about what you are thankful for this week. We have nothing that we have of our own doing, only the mercy of the Lord. Give glory where glory is due!
ONE // My Dad
Monday, November 19th was my Dad's birthday. I am so thankful for a dad that loves his family and works hard to provide for them. He also has been so faithful to pastor his Church and share the gospel always. He taught me what a man is, and played a huge part in me finding such a wonderful husband because of his example!
TWO // My Mom
I have been blessed with two wonderful parents who love the Lord. My mom is such a strong woman and has worked hard to take care of her family. I don't know what I would do without her, and I only hope I am half the mother that she is. I hope I always learn from her!
THREE // Cleaning
Is this super weird, or what? I am thankful for cleaning! I am sure I won't always be thankful for it, when I am constantly cleaning up after children (although I have to constantly clean up after my dogs). I am thankful for the order and stress relief cleaning provides! Whenever I am upset or stressed out, cleaning always brings me down and helps me calm down! I always enjoy the visual aspect of having a mess disappear!
FOUR // This Blog
I am so thankful for this space! I'm so thankful for this creative outlet. Though it is small, I am so happy to have a place to write and express myself and put my heart into something meaningful. I am thankful that it touches some people and that is all worth it to me! I will continue to do my best and write my hear as well as I can.
FIVE // My Doggos!
I am a dog lover through and through, and having two dogs of my own is truly a joy! I am so thankful for their cute, little, furry faces and their love! When they get excited to see me when I get home my heart bursts!
SIX // Weight Lifting
Weightlifting has been such a positive aspect in my life. It gives me something to work towards, it helps me feel good about myself, it helps me sleep better, and it is healthy! I am so glad I got into this form of exercise and even though at times I haven't been excited about it, I can feel that same excitement to keep getting better come back to me. I am excited and ready to go to the gym and get better!
SEVEN // 1 John 4:4
I am so thankful for this verse that says "Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." This verse has been so influential in my life this year, and I great promise as I tackle some mountains in my heart. God's Word is truly powerful and I am so thankful that I have this verse to cling to when I feel like a failure.
