My Budget-Friendly Fall Decor

Happy Monday!

We are all deep into fall. If you aren't yet, what are you doing with your life? It's October 15th, Christmas is almost here! Okay okay, not quite, but sometimes it feels like it. Since Fall is fleeting (I celebrate Fall until the day after Thanksgiving, which feels like it's right around the corner!) I've decided to share with you my Fall Decor. It isn't quite complete, I want to get some pumpkins to paint still (hopefully this weekend, I just literally never have the time), but I want to share what I do have!

This Autumn was exciting for me because I finally have my own home to decorate. If I didn't have such a small home, I would have spent all of my money on fall decor. There just isn't enough room! However I was able to add some touches of fall here and there to make our home feel cozy. The temperatures have finally dropped (rarely above 65 degrees!) and it has even starting snowing in some areas close to where I live! I am soaking up Fall before it rapidly turns into winter. I hope this inspires you to go out and get some decorations for your own home to make it feel cozy!

The coziest place of all is the couch! I already had this owl throw pillow (it was a gift so I don't know where it is from!) and found the plaid throw at Hobby Lobby! It makes the couch warm and inviting!

Next to the couch on the end table sits my record player. It was a gift from my sweet Grandfather. I really love the look it adds to our home! I topped it with this candle and pumpkin arrangement!

The metal bin was bought at Hobby Lobby for our wedding, as well as the candles and burlap! (I planned most of my wedding decor so that it would be reusable later, the bin was used for our trail mix bar!). One simple way to add Fall to your home is to scatter faux leaves everywhere! I got a pack from the dollar store (I didn't feel like spending $6 for leaves at Hobby Lobby, haha!) and I bought the sparkly pumpkin at Wal-Mart for like $3. Fall doesn't have to be expensive.

I absolutely LOVE this corner! This electric faux fireplace was in our home when we moved in, and as the temperatures drop it adds the perfect warmth and ambiance to our home. The lantern was also one from our wedding, I bought some small pumpkins and gourds at Wal-Mart for a dollar and put them inside! The "Be Grateful" sign and the owl and fox are also from Wal-Mart. They had a surprisingly good selection this year. While I love Hobby Lobby, sometimes it is a bit over priced for my taste. The pumpkin on the left is from Hobby Lobby, I think it was only $6 plus 40% off!

This is the wall directly above our fireplace. I'll be honest and say it isn't my favorite part of our house and is still a work in progress since moving in. I have a special project in mind for this wall that I will be sharing soon, but for now it is simple. The photo collage on the top left is our engagement photos, and the photo below is an arial shot of my husband's family farm! I found the "It's Well With My Soul" at Wal-Mart which surprised me! I love the colors and the reminder.

This is our bookshelf! I scattered leaves on each shelf (it makes it a pain to dust but I put up with it because #fall) I found the "FALL" lettering at Hobby Lobby. It came unfinished (which I loved!) and I had my best friend come over and paint the letters with me! The garland is from Wal-Mart. (To the left: our Unity Cross (Hobby Lobby) from the Wedding; To the right: Mr. & Mrs. Sign (Hobby Lobby) from the Wedding).

Our kitchen table got the touch of Fall as well! The tablecloth was a hand down from my mom (from her grandmother) and I love it! I made the leaf arrangement from some .99 cent leaves from Wal-Mart, handmade burlap roses, and burlap in the vase! Super simple but adds color that won't die. I love fresh flowers but they wilt so quickly. The owl salt & pepper shakers are a gift from my sweet friend, the napkin holder is from Hobby Lobby (again, recycled wedding decorations), and the butter dish is Pioneer Woman!

My husband strongly dislikes wreaths, so I hung this sign next to the front door instead of on it (I'll probably do a Christmas wreath though!). Hobby Lobby had an overwhelming amount of signs, but this was the cutest! I just love the hedgehog!

Last but not least: our sun room! I will be adding painted pumpkins to our actual front porch, but for now this will do! Bail of hay, small white pumpkin, "thankful + blessed" pumpkin, and "thankful-grateful-blessed" sign all from Hobby Lobby! The large white pumpkin is from Wal-Mart!

I hope my little, budget friendly decor inspires you to go out and get creative. We have until Thanksgiving to revel in the pumpkins, it's not too late! And remember, you don't have to spend hundreds of dollars to celebrate the seasons!
